3 Months

Barrett loves: smiling, laughing at Daddy, sitting in the Bumbo, and getting his diaper/clothes changed

Barrett hates: tummy time and getting the bottle taken away in the middle of feeding

Milestones: great head control, tracking full range with eyes, grabbing objects with hands, and putting legs down in a standing position

The many faces of Barrett

While I have been at home on maternity leave, Travis has made daily requests for pictures of Barrett while he is at work.  Here are some of my favorites I have sent out!

I have hands!

This past week Barrett has discovered his hands! He is constantly moving his arms around and putting his hands in his mouth. He also has been swatting at his toys on his playmat. Barrett even reached out and grabbed the links while playing last night. It was funny watching him hanging on the ring as he didn't know how to let go!

This boy can't get enough of those hands !!

2 Months

Barrett was two months on New Year's Eve.  We saw the pediatrician for his checkup and she said everything looked great and he is meeting all his developmental milestones.  Barrett is following Travis and I more with his eyes and seems to recognize our voices.  He is able to hold his head up more, and the most fun is the smiling and cooing.  Here are his two month stats:

Weight: 9 lbs. 12 oz. (finally made it onto the growth chart!)
Length: 20.75 in.
Head Circumference: 39 cm.

Chatting with Daddy

Sweet Dreams

Barrett has been a great sleeper since we started him on a schedule and moved him into his nursery at three weeks.  He has been sleeping peacefully in his Rock n Play sleeper, which allows babies to sleep cozied up at an incline.  Now with one month of maternity leave left and Barrett having to sleep flat in a pack n play while with the nanny, mommy decided it was time to transfer Barrett into his big boy crib.  Barrett has not been the biggest fan of laying flat on his back, so I started slow with him spending time on his back on the play mat.  Then we moved up to spending five minutes of awake time in his crib.  Finally, I tried nap time and success!  He slept a full nap time on his back in the crib! Now we just have to make it to more naps and eventually night time.

All snuggled in his Rock n Play.
