A time honored tradition at my parent's house is to bang away on the keys of the piano.  Barrett got his chance to tickle the ivories and LOVED it!  He was smiling and kicking the whole time.  Will he be a piano prodigy?

Fourth of July

We spent the Fourth of July at my parent's house with the whole family.  Barrett had fun swimming, and even took out some time to watch a World Cup game with his Daddy!  

Daddy's Home

Barrett has such a sweet reaction every time Travis comes home from work.  He squeals with delight and bounces up and down.  I had Travis call me right before he got home one day so I could get it on video.  Barrett loves his daddy so much! (Apologies for the loud barking dog...Bentley also loves it when Travis comes home.)

On the Move!

I have had a hunch for the past couple weeks that Barrett was going to start crawling.  He has been getting up on his hands and knees for a few seconds in attempt to reach for a toy.  Yesterday he did it, he crawled!  Of course he didn't crawl to his beloved mommy or daddy, but Bentley's toy frog!  He loves playing with Bentley lately, so it was no surprise he wanted his favorite puppy dog to come get his toy and play with him.  Thankfully I was home to capture the big milestone!

8 Months

Barrett is starting to look more and more like a little boy and less like a baby every day!  The eight month mark has been a big one for Barrett.  He is now sitting up and playing more independently, eating more finger foods and less pureed, and even taking baths like a big boy!  He is going to crawl any day now, as he gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth.  I could hardly keep him still to get his pictures!

Fun in the Sun

The last week of June we took our first family trip to Destin, Florida.  We shared a house with some great friends and had a wonderful time.  The long car ride was a rough one for Barrett.  He slept for a few hours at the beginning, and then mommy had to sit in the back seat for the rest of the trip to keep him entertained.  We were all excited to get out of the car when we finally arrived at the beach house!

Barrett was not the biggest fan of the beach and ocean at the beginning of the week.  Thankfully he warmed up and loved the water by the last day!

Reid's 3rd Birthday

Barrett had so much fun celebrating Reid's Frozen themed birthday at ASI gymnastics.  The big kids looked like they had tons of fun running, playing, and jumping in the foam pit.  Barrett was newly sitting up and had his share of fun playing with his cousins. Barrett even got his first taste of ice cream, which he loved!  He must be his momma's boy!
