St. Patty's Day

Since we had spring break early this year, St.Patty's day fell on a school day.  Barrett had a fun day celebrating.  The Andersons treated him to a green donut for breakfast and mommy treated him to leftover Lucky Charms from school.  This mommy was so proud when he turned down the Lucky Charms and asked for more grapes!

More grapes please!  Notice he did pick out the marshmallows!

Spring Break Fun

Even though it was rainy and dreary most of spring break, Barrett and I managed to have tons of fun with friends and family!  Here is the run down of the week's events.

Day 1: Jump Street
We met the Andersons and Fuquas to jump our energy out.  Barrett was very shy at first and would have rather played in the cars the whole time.  He finally warmed up and had some jumping fun with his friends.

Day 2: Monster Yogurt
We spent the morning playing inside due to rain, and then in the afternoon met the Jackson boys for some yogurt and playtime.  Barrett was more adventurous in the play area and had fun playing with his friends.

Day 3
We packed up the car and headed to Arlington to see JoJo (Grandpa was out of town).  My mom and I have a long standing tradition to go shopping over spring break.  We toted Barrett along this year, and unfortunately he did not inherit his mommy's love of shopping.  Thankfully we had some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the phone to keep him entertained!

Ready to see JoJo!

Day 4
We finally had a sunny day that was perfect for some backyard fun!  It was all smiles for my outside loving boy.

Day 5
We packed up the car again and headed southbound 35 and headed to Austin.  Barrett had so much seeing his Carly, Papa, and all the Austin family.  We had fun playing at the park and eating our way through Austin.  Unfortunately, this mommy didn't snap many photos.

Snowed In!

The weather the past few weeks in Dallas has been torture for those with little ones!  We had three days of snow and ice and the rest have been filled with rain and clouds.  This has made it virtually impossible to get out of the house.  This mommy tried many things to keep my busy little boy occupied during our days of cabin fever.  When the roads got better, we even met some friends at a McDonalds play area to expel some energy and give the tired mommies a break!

Once Daddy got home from work, we tried to bundle Barrett up and play in the snow.  He was very unsure of the snow, but I think he would have enjoyed it more if mean Mommy didn't make him keep on those pesky mittens!

Valentines Day

We had a fun weekend celebrating Valentines Day and Grandpa's birthday.  On Saturday, Barrett received a few special treats from Mommy and Daddy.  Our sweet little boy has his mommy's sweet tooth combined with a love for chocolate.  He loved his heart full of M&Ms which we had to ration out over a span of a few days.  We had a gorgeous weather that day and met some friends for food truck and park fun at Klyde Warren Park.

On Sunday, we met the rest of the Andersen family at The Lot to celebrate Grandpa's birthday.  All the boys had a great time playing in the sand while the adults enjoyed a yummy lunch.  We had such a fun weekend with the family!
