3 Months

This was the week I went back to work (why this post is almost a month late).  It was so hard leaving my little love bug behind, but knowing JoJo was there to look after him made the transition so much easier! Thankfully, Carly came the next week too!

The third month for Eli brought a few firsts.  He found his hands (loves them), began grabbing for things (Mommy's hair is his favorite), rolling to his side, lots of smiles and laughs, and a little sleep regression.  Eli was consistently sleeping a good stretch from 7pm-4am and then waking up for the day at 7am for a least a month.  Then, the week mommy went back to work he began waking up twice a night!  Hopefully this little regression won't last long, because this working mommy is tired!!

Eli didn't have a check-up with the doctor this month and I am excited to see how much this little one has grown.  It is obvious he has because he is really filling out his three month clothes already!

Yes, this baby is always this happy!

Barrett decided to get in on the picture fun.
Then wasn't too keen on sharing with his brother.
(I have a feeling this won't be the only time!)

Easter

This was a fun year for Easter in the Powell household.  It was Barrett's first Easter where he knew all about the Easter Bunny and hunting for eggs.  It was also the same day as Mommy's birthday!  Barrett had fun hunting for eggs with his friends at school on Friday and dying some eggs at home on Saturday.  On Sunday, he was ready for the fun to start!  In the morning, the Easter Bunny visited and then we went to church as a family.  After church, we headed over to Uncle Jeff and Aunt Michelle's house for a combination Easter and Birthday celebration.  The cousins had so much fun playing together, eating cake, and hunting for more eggs.  It was a fun day for this birthday girl to watch her little boy have the best day!  (Barrett loved Easter so much that he continued to ask to hunt for eggs for at least two weeks!)

Barrett's First Haircut

To say that it took forever for Barrett to grow some hair is an understatement!  I love that every time Reid would see us he would rub his head and ask when we was getting hair.  Well the day finally happened...Barrett grew enough hair to finally get a haircut.  Even though it was only the back of his hair, this was a momentous occasion for us.  We debated on where we should go for this first, and agreed to take him to our regular hair stylist Quinn. We figured Barrett could watch Daddy get his hair cut first so it wouldn't be so scary for him.  Well...our plan didn't quite work! He wanted nothing to do with getting his hair cut!  So Travis went about getting his hair cut.  After about ten pops and some Curious George on the phone, we were able to distract him enough for Quinn to ninja style cut the back of his hair!  Every time he turned his head, she would cut a little off.  If he saw what she was up to, she would step back.  This went on for a few minutes, just long enough for him to get his little mullett in the back whacked off.  Lucky for us we probably won't have to think about getting his hair cut for another six months!
