Five Months

Eli is continuing to grow and change.  The biggest change he has made this month is he is now sleeping in his crib!  After a frustrating month of 45 minute naps and waking up three times a night, the pediatrician suggested we move him to the crib and do a little crying out.  I am pleased to say he is now napping 2 hours at a time and only waking up once a night. Hallelujah!!

Eli is also beginning to interact with Barrett, eating solid foods, and rolling all over the place!

Big boy in his crib!

Summer Fun

It has been so much fun being at home with my two sweet boys this summer!  We have had fun at home as well as out and about with friends.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Our neighborhood association was hosting an night out at the Frisco Rough Riders game.  Travis and I decided this would be a fun opportunity to take Barrett to his first baseball game.  We left Eli at home with a babysitter since we would be out past bed times, and this would also give Barrett some special attention.  Barrett was so excited for his first baseball game it was all he could talk about the whole car ride there.  Thankfully, the Rough Rider games are very family friendly and have lots of things to do for a busy toddler!  We all had so much fun spending a nice evening out with good friends and yummy ballpark food!

All baseball talk the way to the game!

Best attempt at a group shot with three busy boys.
All set with his hat and ball!

Roly Poly

Eli had been trying to roll over for the longest time.  I stepped out of the room for a minute while he was playing on his play mat.  When I walked in the room, Eli was mid roll.  I quickly grabbed my camera and snapped his proud moment after the roll!  Of course I didn't have to wait long to get it on video. Since then, he has been rolling from his back to tummy and tummy to back.  It won't be long until this little boy is on the move!

Proud moment post roll!

Reid, Jack, and Hunter's Birthday

The Andersen boys' birthdays are only two weeks apart, so luckily Jeff and Michelle get to throw a combo birthday party for all three of their boys!  (This mommy is a little jealous!)  This year was a Star Wars theme at a Rec Center.  Barrett had so much fun playing with Grandpa and all of his cousins!  He was a little timid about the slide at first, but after some pep talking and watching everyone else, Barrett decided he would take the plunge.  It only took one time down and Barrett was hooked!  We all had so much fun celebrating Reid turning 5 and Jack and Hunter turning 3!

Sliding fun!
Happy Birthday Boys!
Yummy cake pop!
Always fun with Grandpa
Fun with the birthday boys!
Travis went to grab lunch and I had to put Eli down for a nap.  I let Barrett watch the iPad
while I was out of the room.  This is what I came back to.  All tuckered out from a fun party!

Last Day of School

This year we decided to move Barrett from being at home with a nanny to going to school.  We decided on Spring Creek Private School and we couldn't have been happier!  We love the fact the school is close to home, close to Mommy's school, and run by the sweetest family.  Barrett had a hard time at first, but quickly fell into the routine!  He has made so much progress as well.  By the end of the year, he could count to ten and sing the alphabet.  He is also quickly making progress in identifying shapes and colors.  The icing on the cake was Barrett's teacher Ms. Shanna! He will do anything for her.  As soon as I would ask him how his day was he would answer, "Color and play with Ms. Shanna!"  It was hard to say good-bye to school, but this Mommy is looking forward to a summer with her boys!

Did he grow up or what?

We are going to miss her so much next year!
