On June 14, 2013 we had our anatomy sonogram.  We were so excited to see our little one on the big screen!  After we learned that we had a healthy baby, we found out that we were having a BOY!!  We had a little gender reveal dinner with my side of the family.  After we had a wonderful steak dinner prepared by the boys, we cut the cake to reveal that there was another boy blessing our family!

Parent's Reactions

We told our families the good news a week apart.  First was my family.  It was at my birthday dinner celebration.  When it came time to open presents, Travis gave me a special present that had a couple of grandparent onsies.  It took my mom a while to get our announcement, but once she did...the picture tells it all!

The next weekend we told Travis' family in Austin.  We got their favorite buttermilk pie from Pie Emporium (awesome pies in Bishop Arts District) and had them write the good news in icing.  They were just as surprised!

We are so excited for our little one to have such fabulous grandparents!

I'm Pregnant!

Sunday March 3, 2013 will be the day that forever changed our lives.  Travis was at work when I took the first pregnancy test.  I had been told that dollar store tests were just the same so I used one and a very faint positive line showed up!  I couldn't believe it!  I was so unsure it was positive that I called a friend who was currently pregnant to confirm.  "A line is a line!" she told me, but I still wanted to be sure.  I went to the store and bought the more expensive tests, and sure enough she was right!  Waiting all day for Travis to get home from work was torture!  When he finally came home, I told him I bought him a sussi (a surprise we buy each other) but he insisted on taking a shower first.  As soon as he was out and dried off I made him open his present.  He was totally caught off guard and I had to explain the present to him.  Boy or girl, which would it be?
